It is possible to build muscle even for skinny guys. Being skinny is not good for most of the people. It is possible to get bigger and better by building muscle. When you build muscle, you look fitter and better. Since you are skinny, you need a different approach to build muscles than the pros. You should not try to imitate the routines and workouts of pros because those workouts and routines are mean for people who have lots of experience and expertise in building muscle and weight lifting.

Overcome the anxiety

You need to overcome the anxiety of being skinny. Even though the starting weight for many other people may be challenging for you, you should not worry about it. You need to start somewhere and keep challenging yourself and after some time, the weight won’t be a challenge for you.

Challenge yourself

We need to keep challenging yourself each and every time you workout. To build muscles, you need to keep increasing the weight you lift. Don’t worry about how much you want lifting. You need to focus on challenging yourself each and every time you go to the gym. Keep adding more weight to the weight you can lift. Challenge yourself to lift the extra weight. Such gradual increase in weight will help you to gradually progress from one weight to another and after some time, you will be able to lift more weight compared to what you could when you started. Once you hit your target and become comfortable, add some more to it to challenge yourself. It will help you to increase the weight you can lift. It will help you to build more muscles.

Eat more

You need to eat more to gain more. Whether you like it or not, you need to eat more and more. More food will give you more energy and calories, protein, carbohydrates and necessary fat, which will help you to increase your muscles. However, that doesn’t mean you can eat anything you want. You need to watch what you eat. You need to eat clean. You should read only those things which will help you to build more muscles. You cannot just eat everything and anything because that will add more fat to your body and will make you look awful and unhealthy. You should eat egg whites, more protein, chicken, vegetables, tuna, turkey and other foods that will help you to build more muscles.


You will need lots of water to build muscles. The more water you drink, the better it will be for you. Water makes up about 70% of your muscles and so you need to keep your muscles supplied with the necessary water. For bigger and stronger muscles you will need to drink more water. You need at least a gallon of water every day.

Compound lifts

Instead of going for single exercises that focus on single part of the body, you need to go for compound lifts because they are more beneficial to you when you want to gain more muscles. If you are skinny, such compound exercises will help you to get more muscle. Bench presses, squats, pull-ups, pull ups, rows, dips are some of the important exercises that you should always include in your workout routine. Always go for different compound exercises and if necessary consult with your trainer. If you want bigness and more muscles, you need all these compound exercises.
