This combination of the right diet and regular exercise will help you to maintain your healthy weight throughout different stages of your life. Monitor your weight

You will need to monitor your weight constantly. If you can monitor your weight at least once or twice weekly using an accurate weighing machine, it will help you to get an idea about your ideal weight. Eat foods high in fibre

You need at least five servings of fruits and vegetables everyday to provide your body with the necessary fibre.

Eating out

You may eat out sometimes and you cannot avoid it. Even then, it is possible to maintain your weight. You need to watch out for certain foods and do some things when you eat out. See the menu and avoid food items that contain the words fried and breaded. Such food will contain high levels of fat and calories. Also watch the portion size you are ordering. If possible, always order a small portion size. You can always focus more on salad dressings and sauces. If you are a little careful, you can avoid loading your body with lots of fat and empty calories.

Physical activity

Physical activity is very important to maintain your ideal weight. You should engage in at least 30 minutes of exercise for five days a week. If you can increase the time, it will help you more. You can take up different types of physical activities. It can do cardio, walk, jog, swim, run, go to the gym, start strength training or do anything else. You can even play outdoor games which will need lots of physical activities.

Dairy products

You will need low fat dairy products. Dairy products are necessary for your body for your bone and joints as they provide calcium necessary for your body. But choose the low fat dairy products because if you choose dairy products with high fat content, that fat will be deposited in different parts of your body and that will increase your weight. Low fat dairy products include milk, yoghurt, cheese etc.
