How to get rid of your gas problem

Everybody of us experience gas in stomach. Many of us get habituated to the problem but sometimes it gets unbearable and needs doctor's advice. Gas occurs as a natural result of eating and drinking.
The way you eat can cause you to swallow air and create gas bubbles in your stomach and the food itself can cause gas. Over time, the gas naturally disperses or passes out of your body through belching or flatulence. But sometimes you can experience mild to severe abdominal pain and other discomfort.
While gas can be a result of eating spicy and oily food or overeating, it also signals towards an underlying serious problem.
You can try out the following steps to get rid of gas temporarily:
1. Try milk of magnesia or a product containing simethicone. These products break up the gas bubbles and relieve cramping and bloating.
2. Drink a mixture of ½ tsp. of baking soda dissolved into 8 oz. of room-temperature water. The baking soda mixture breaks up the gas bubbles in your stomach and gives you some relief. But here is a caution: Baking soda contains sodium. Individuals with hypertension should consult their physicians before taking baking soda.
3. Drink an 8-oz. glass of club soda.
Wait a couple of hours and if you still have gas and the problem persists, drink another dose.
4. Some gas remedies may encourage belching or flatulence. Holding it in can make it worse. So release gas if it comes.
5. Coriander:
You can use one teaspoon of dried Coriander leaves per cup boiling water and drink it. Coriander can help settling your stomach and getting you relieved from the burning sensations caused by gas and indigestion.
6. Black Pepper:
Taking of Black Pepper can be very effective to cure the gas and indigestion problem. Black pepper can increase the flow of gastric juices and help in digestion. You can make a power of black pepper, mixed it with crushed jiggery and take it along buttermilk during indigestion.
7. Cloves:
Clove has several culinary and medicinal uses. It can increase gastrointestinal secretions, which are helpful to you as improve digestion and also reduces gas problem. You can directly eat few cloves pieces and you can use clove oil.
8.Apple Cider Vinegar:
Indigestion is not caused by excess acid on the stomach by due to the lack of it. Many research findings have proved it. Apple cider vinegar works in relieving you from gas to a great extent. Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 1 cup water and add 1 teaspoon honey, and drink it two to three times a day.
9. Buttermilk:
Buttermilk is considered as an effective remedy against gas. It also helps in eliminating indigestion issues. Since buttermilk contains lactic acid, it's beneficial for you. It is also easier to digest compared to milk.
10. Herbal Tea:
Herbal tea is good for your health and it helps you digest well even after a heavy meal. You can take raspberry or mint or blackberry tea after you have a heavy meal. You can also use peppermint and chamomile because they reduce stomach. You can dip mint leaves in lukewarm water and drink the water 2-3 times a day. It will offer you relief from gas.
11. Garlic:
Garlic is very good for you when you are trying to get relief from gas. It stimulates the gastric system and thereby you get relief from gas and ingestion problems. You can eat it raw or add it in a soup. It will improve your digestive system health.
12. Ginger:
Ginger is generally traditionally used to get relief from indigestion. You can eat ginger in a raw form or also use it as an ingredient in other foods. You can make ginger tea which will immediately improve your digestive system function.
13. Lemon:
This citrus fruit is known for lots of health benefits. Drinking fresh lemon water in the morning in empty stomach can help prevent many types of digestive disorders.
