You should avoid any food that has shortening or partially hydrogenated oils as an ingredient. They are evil trans fats. They will not only clog your arteries, but they will also cause obesity. They will result in metabolic syndromes. Instead of them, you can always choose healthy monounsaturated fats like olive, peanut or canola oils. It is very important that you avoid artificial sweeteners because they are very bad for your body.
