Summer is here with all its heat and for us; summer means to show off our beautiful bare skin. To help flaunt your healthy and beautiful skin, here are our top 7 tips for a flawless summer glow. The following tips will not only make your skin beautiful externally, but it will help improve it internally as well so that the effects last for a very long time:
Exfoliate
You will not believe how many dead cells are shedding from your skin every minute of your day. If these dead cells are not taken care of, your skin gets darker and lifeless. In addition, it will not get improve without regular exfoliation.
Exfoliation helps to get rid of dead cell and also improves blood circulation. You can either purchase an organic scrub or prepare one at home. To prepare a homemade scrub, you will need some course ingredients such as sugar, salt or gram flour. A sugar scrub can be made with some sugar, honey and/or coconut oil. A gram flour scrub can be made with some turmeric, gram flour and a little bit or milk or rose-water to make a paste. Use either of these scrubs on a regular basis and exfoliate gently in circular motions.
Stay hydrated
The scorching heat of the sun can cause a lot of harm on your skin due to dehydration. Dehydration is the main reason why your skin loses its suppleness and glow. Therefore, make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day. It is highly recommended to have at least 2-3 liters of water per day depending on your level of activity and the climatic conditions around you.
Use sunscreen
To protect your skin from damage of hot sun use a good quality of sunscreen. UV light from the sun damages the skin causing brown spots and wrinkles. Therefore, make sure you apply some sunscreen on your face and body even if it is raining outside. UV rays can reach you even if the clouds are blocking the sun therefore have it on all day and wash off at night. If you're out throughout the day, it is advisable to reapply sunscreen ever 2-3 hours.
Use toner and keep your skin clean
Use toner to close the pores of your skin and to cool your skin down. You can use rose-water or diluted raw apple cider vinegar to tone your skin instead of using harmful and astringent store-bought toners. It is important that you cleanse your face before going to sleep to prevent clogged pores, acne and dull skin.
Drink fresh juice
Instead of having cold soft drinks, opt for juices with antioxidant power. Coconut water, fresh juices or ice tea are preferable over sugary drinks.
Do not forget to take care of your hand and feet
We get so busy keeping our face perfect that we forget about our hands and feet. It is important that you take care of your hands and feet just as much as you take care of your face. Make sure you exfoliate, cleanse and moisturize them twice a day to ensure they are in good health.
