Proper sleep will also ensure that you have a healthy weight. When you are sleep deprived you are more likely to consume more calories. When you consume more calories, it can lead to weight gain. When youââ¬â¢re not getting enough sleep, it can disrupt your bodyââ¬â¢s balance between ghrelin and leptin. These two hormones other responsible hormones for stimulating and suppressing appetite respectively. When you do not get enough sleep, it can increase your appetite by increasing the hormone responsible for stimulating your appetite. So, you should always try to get a full nightââ¬â¢s sleep every night and if for some reason you do not get the necessary sleep, you will have to watch out for what you are eating that day.
