There are some foods that you should avoid if you're suffering from PCOS. These foods are bad for you and so avoiding them will help you to eliminate the possibility of suffering and pain.
Sugar
Sugar is the number one food that you should avoid when you are suffering from PCOS. It can be a little more difficult because it is there in so many things that you consume. From a practical perspective, it can be hard to completely eliminate sugar. If you can break the emotional connection to super sweet foods, then you will be able to get away from sugar.
Fructose is the worst type of sugar when you are suffering from PCOS. There are clear scientific evidence linking this type of sugar to increased body fat, reduced egg development and quality, anxiety, depression, facial and body hair and other problems.
High GI carbohydrates
You need to avoid high GI (glycaemic index) carbohydrates. It is the other major source of glucose in our diet. Carbohydrates are made up of long chains of glucose. Most of such carbohydrate foods will quickly breakdown in the body and will cause the blood sugar levels to go up. Many foods have high GI carbohydrates and you need to avoid them. Bread and baked goods, cereals, pastas, white rice, white potatoes are some of the high GI carbohydrates. If you want to regain the control of your hormone regulation, you will need to avoid this type of carbohydrates.
Gluten
You need to avoid gluten if you are suffering from PCOS. However, avoiding gluten can be very difficult because it is present in almost everything. It is present in pasta, baked goods, cereals, sauces and beer and so you should avoid these food products. If you want to completely change PCOS health, you need to go gluten free and that is a very powerful way.
When you eat gluten, a reactive goo known as zonulin gets released. It will open up the mesh of the filter in your body and as a result, your body will not be able to filter things properly. If you have a sensitivity to gluten, it can result in the leaky gut condition. If you suffer from this problem, there will be an excessive flow of foreign proteins and microbes across the intestinal barrier. When such toxins go into your bloodstream it can cause different problems for you. The body may try to fight it by an inflammatory response. If you are suffering from PCOS, chronic inflammation can be a very big problem for you. It is more likely that you are intolerant to gluten even though you don't know about it.
Dairy
If you're suffering from PCOS, you also need to stop dairy products. If you want to avoid unnecessary inflammation, simply avoid the dairy products. Best diets for PCOS do not include dairy products. Dairy products contain lactose, whey and casein and people are actually sensitive to them. However, the same people can consume butter and ghee without any problem. Butter and ghee are in fact good for them and they provide lots of healthy fats including conjugated linoleic acids (CLA). CLA helps in reducing body fat.
Vegetable oils
If you have PCOS, you should stay away from vegetable oils. They contain high levels of omega 6 fatty acids which can cause inflammation.
