1. Avoid anti thyroid foods

This is a very important yet very simple tip. If you suffering from hypothyroidism or at the verge of having this problem, you will need to avoid those foods which can aggravate the situation. Such anti-thyroid foods are already identified and you need to know them so that you can avoid them.

It will reduce the necessity of insulin for maintaining your blood sugar. If you can regulate the blood sugar, you will also be able to reduce stress hormone response and as a result you will be able to stay away from hypothyroidism symptoms.

There are some foods that you need to avoid. You should avoid avocados because they contain high levels of unsaturated fat. So, include more hypothyroidism friendly fruits in your diet and avoid those that create problem.

3. Increase your salt intake

If you are suffering from hypothyroidism, you will need to increase your salt intake. Salt contains sodium, which is important for several of your body's functions. It can help you to regulate blood pressure and it offers several other benefits for people with hypothyroidism.

People suffering from hypothyroidism show symptoms of edema, which is a condition where your body takes up more water. When your cells retain more water, they lose sodium. If you're sodium levels are low it will slow down your metabolism and at the same time will increase your stress hormones. With higher levels of stress hormone your hypothyroidism symptoms will be aggravated.

Salt can easily add more sodium to your body. When you add more sodium true salt, your stress hormones will stay at a minimum level and it will help you to reverse hypothyroidism.

However, you have to be careful about the amount of salt that you can consume every day because it may lead to some other health issues related to your heart. The best ways to consult your doctor to find out the safe levels of salt for you.

4. Increase the amount of saturated fats

You should increase consumption of saturated fats because they can weed out the negative effects of polyunsaturated fats. These fats will improve your body's insulin response. Insulin is necessary for maintaining balance blood sugar levels and for reduction of stress hormones. If you have more than necessary stress hormones in your body, it will result in hypothyroidism.

While consuming saturated fats, you have to be little careful because the animal fats that you consume may not be what it seems. So, to avoid any possible danger, you should include only high-quality saturated fats in your diet to avoid hypothyroidism. Grass fat and grass finished animal fat, coconut oil, butter and some of the elements that you need in your food.
