They have no idea what it means to families like mine who are affected by Duchenne. My son is 9 & lives with DMD, and most people don’t understand how our world revolves around finding a treatment for this awful disease. With all the time it takes discover new treatments for any illness, for this journalist to say “scientists are about to discover a cure” is pretty offensive and ignorant.
